I don't know what music theory is but It sounds like you need the basics. oh and It does sound random too.
I guess I'll give you a score for originality =P

Now this is very impressive, I love the parts when the song is at its peaks. It would be great to hear it in a final fantasy type game.

The only thing is, I hated that it wasn't long enough :(

This song is very cool, like the drums and guitars and all that. Just didn't like that flanger sound going ALL through out the song. You used it too much, other then that sounds good.

I noticed the key change immediately at the start but got used to it after a minute. Cool drums that are added, but I'm curious to know how would it sound like if a girl sang this song?

The intro was great, for some reason it reminded me of 'Resident Evil-Apocalypse' that nemesis creature when he growls "Stars..."
