My personal beliefs

I say it's about the creativity and imagination you put into your music. Most Techno and electronic music uses no live played instruments but it's still there and yet it can still strike emotions.

I love minor scales and I enjoyed it. You picked out every single note and writing isn't easy. Good job with this.

I like minor scales alot too, I feel that it can bring about more emotion, either happy or sad than a major scale can... when I'm writing that is.
But like Kor-Rune said, it is pretty much a sandbox of ideas. It could have progressed better, and lead into alot more epicness.
That isn't to say that I'm not glad you enjoyed it, I really am. But there is alot of space for improvement on this song.

Sounds Annoying

That piano melody is very repetitive and sounds straight off the bat random. It just sounds like it can be made by some one else in five minutes. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't stop now. Keep trying and you'll get better.

Any ways it does have a lil darker tone which I like. The only thing I can suggest is look for some good synths.

Anyways. Some of the synths sound weird and don't really fit. Like in 1:40 and afterwards, but thats preference. Hmmm did u mean percussive orchestral?

Do u play te guitars? It sent me into a state of trying to figure what im hearing, in a good way.

Haha, first off, thanks for the review. :]

SECONDLY; I tried to get the synths to sound somewhat like what strings would be like in an ensemble, but yeah, I added in the orchestral drums to keep the even flow.

And yeah, I recorded everything that wasn't drum or synth in this track, which pretty much leaves the guitar. :]

The Phone Rings

It's your mother, and she has just ran over your cat with her semi-van. You cry out.

"Muffin!" As loud as you can into the wind, then silence and grey clouds gather over you.

You bury your cat in the backyard and you shed a tear on it's tomb stone.

"I will always remember you Muffin." Is whispered and you place a rose on her grave.

Very good, can't help but wonder if some piano is added in it.

Simple effective backing music, loops well, but I wonder how it would sound with some bass instruments add in with it.

I agree with TJ Could use some work on the percussion.

Not really scary. just sort of subtle and ominous. You really captured the mood and I wouldn't mind usin this in a flash. If I could make any.

Didn't really blow me away, or give me goosebumps. It's just practical and convient for a flash developer.

Any ways. It has a lot of variety in it but I wouldn't listen to it twice, maybe another synth would make it better, and some bass.

Was expecting music after the intro, then all of a sudden toilet humor came out. =\ Good laugh for a couple seconds, but wouldn' listen to this a second time.
